Vertikl is an iOS app that converts Fortnite gameplay clips from 16:9 horizontal video to 9:16 vertical video. It detects your game HUD elements — minimap, health bar, shield, weapon slots — and preserves them as picture-in-picture overlays in the output.
Everything happens entirely on your device using Apple's on-device machine learning (CoreML) and video processing (AVFoundation). Your video footage never leaves your phone at any point.

Specifically, Vertikl does not collect:
- Your name, email, or any personal information
- Your video clips or any footage you import
- Usage data, analytics, or crash reports
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Location, contacts, camera, or microphone data
- Any other data of any kind
Vertikl requests one permission:
- Photo Library access — to import your clips and save converted videos back to your Photos app
That's it. No camera, microphone, contacts, location, or anything else. You can revoke Photo Library access at any time in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → Vertikl.
All video processing in Vertikl happens entirely on your iPhone. Your clips are read from your Photos library, processed in memory on-device, and written back to Photos or shared directly to another app.
Your video footage never leaves your device at any point during this process. Vertikl does not have or require a network connection to process clips.
Vertikl offers an optional one-time in-app purchase ("Vertikl Pro") that removes the watermark permanently. All purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store.

Vertikl contains no third-party SDKs, analytics tools, advertising networks, crash reporting services, or any other third-party code that collects or transmits data. The only frameworks used are Apple's own CoreML and AVFoundation — both operate entirely on-device.
Vertikl does not collect any data from any users, including users under the age of 13. Since we collect no data whatsoever, Vertikl is fully compliant with COPPA by design.
